Destination Training

Professionally upgrade your teaching knowledge. This training provides the difference between being a Yoga Instructor & an Educator for your students in Yoga. 

This may be used as Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points for your Yoga Australia membership. 

 

The broad knowledge base that embodies the Yogalates method; the system lays a deep therapeutic application to support the functional foundation of Yoga and Yoga Therapy. This training will give you more tools to blend sequences creatively enhancing your classes that will be fun, functional and restorative.You will learn how to apply the Yogalates bio-mechanical principles of movement, IAP (core stability & therapy), functional breathing and alignment to all exercises. This will be explored through our Postural Analysis and appraisal lectures on Body Types.

Learn about your own body type and how to identify the most common seen in your clients who are apparently healthy or with postural and special needs requirements. Through de-constructing the Asana poses we can then rebuild the pose to best suit the body type. With this knowledge, we then creatively and functionally apply modifications to increase or decrease exercise intensity and function to their individual practice. Allied health practitioners and other health professionals refer clients to Yogalates teachers.

Course Structure

Part 1 consists of self-paced online study that is augmented by various teaching tools and assessments included in the course fees.

Part 2 of the training is compulsory and 100% attendance and punctual attendance at classes during the practicum is essential for successful completion of the course; both parts combine theoretical and practical components.

 

Enrolment

Enrolment can take place at any time, however a minimum of 4 weeks is recommended prior to each compulsory face to face practicum to complete the online component of the training. You may choose to take longer with the online study to suit your needs.
